• One clean machine per job

  Each runner gets one lease, runs one job, and the lease is released and wiped; the JIT config is handed over once and never stored.

• Scale sets, not queues

  A class registers as a scale set on your GitHub installation; sessions are sharded, one holder per shard. Linux classes today; macOS needs Apple hardware and is refused with a typed reason until Sandboxes leases it.

• Fails over between regions

  If a holder is lost, its shard's lease moves to another region with no duplicate runner.
