Cookie Policy

This page explains how Sylphx Limited uses cookies and similar technologies when you use the Sylphx site and Console.

At a glance

Essential — always onFunctional — optionalAnalytics — consent only

Applies to Sylphx-operated surfaces only. Applications that customers build on Sylphx manage their own consent banners.

1. What Are Cookies

Cookies, local storage and the surfaces this policy covers.

Cookies are small text files stored on your device. We also use local storage and similar technologies for the same purposes described below.

Cookies
Small text files stored on your device by the surfaces you visit.
Local storage
Device-side storage used for the same purposes as cookies in this policy.
Sylphx-operated surfaces
sylphx.com and the Console — the surfaces this policy covers. Customer applications that embed Sylphx Consent BaaS manage their own banners.

Where non-essential choices are recorded, on the surfaces where it is shown.

2. How We Use Cookies

Three jobs: keep you signed in, remember preferences, measure reliability.

We use cookies to:

  • Keep you signed in and protect sessions
  • Remember UI preferences (theme, locale, consent choices)
  • Measure aggregate product usage so we can improve reliability

Sylphx Limited is responsible for the cookies set on Sylphx-operated surfaces. We do not use cookies to sell personal data. See the Privacy Policy for the full processing story.

3. Cookie Categories

Essential, functional, analytics — what each covers and whether consent gates it.

The three categories published in this policy, with the consent rule stated for each.
CategoryWhat it coversConsentIf it is blocked
EssentialAuthentication, CSRF, load-balancing, and security controlsRequired for the service to functionBlocking essential cookies may prevent sign-in and Console use
FunctionalPreference memory (e.g. theme)Can be disabledSome UX features may reset

What this policy does not list

It publishes categories, not per-cookie names or individual lifetimes. Your browser's developer tools show exactly which cookies a given session sets and for how long.

4. Managing Preferences

Two controls: your browser, and the consent preference center where it is shown.

You can manage non-essential cookies through your browser settings or, where shown, the Sylphx consent preference center. Blocking essential cookies may prevent sign-in and Console use.

Customer applications that embed Sylphx Consent BaaS manage their own banners; this policy covers Sylphx-operated surfaces only.

5. Third-Party Cookies

Two named providers may set cookies on our surfaces: Stripe and Cloudflare.

Payment flows may set cookies controlled by Stripe. Edge protection is provided by Cloudflare. Those providers process data under their own policies and our sub-processors list.

Providers named in this clause, with the surface where their cookies can appear.
ProviderWhere its cookies can appearGoverning terms
StripePayment flowsStripe’s own policies, plus the sub-processor contract
CloudflareEdge protection for Sylphx-operated surfacesCloudflare’s own policies, plus the sub-processor contract

Both are listed with their region and contract in Sub-processors.

6. Updates

Changes are posted here with a new date.

We may update this policy, for example as our surfaces or providers change. We will post the new version here and update the date above. Before we set a new cookie that the law requires consent for, we will ask for it.
